This Just Turned into a Battle?!!

Okay every week we gather at UDetroit Cafe for some friendly open mic...well this week we definitely had its twist. Well we decided to do a cipher to open and close the show...this week we had guest in the building that apparently had something a little different in mind! Check out the video...

Blue or White...That is all!!

Okay you should only be able to have your pool in TWO colors blue or white...cuz this muck nasty version of GREEN looks like swamp waters! I have waited all week to come swimming just to get here and the pool looks like the wishing well at the community park!! #allbad Best Western Battle Creek designer you get a fail for this fiasco. Also, what's with the nasty ass dead bugs in the Jacuzzi and I can fart to have more bubbles than that!

I can do bad all by myself

I wish you could count on people...but truth is you can't. You have a great idea and plan...you grab up everybody who like give me something to do. Only to once the excitement and momentum of them having something to do wears off bcuz what you have for them to do is real work. You're left hanging out to dry! So them I say fuck this..from now on I'm gone grab some random to work with me! I'll handle all my money though...lol. Not gone leave me hanging out to dry and broke! So when I do it by myself and you work for me and not with me, just remember you made it that way. I extended my hand...you left in the balance! Kick rocks I can do bad all by myself...but instead I'll do great and I'll do it without you!!

How Long Does it Take?

So ...how long does it take to get to know someone? I mean I guess you can't ever really KNOW people until you've had or talked about that specific experience. Yet, I'm talking like their quirks...like who in the hell would go into a store and buy me an orange soda? Not, nobody who truly knows me cuz I don't like orange flavored anything...not orange slices, soda, Kool-Aid or Orange Drink!!! Hell I don't even like Oranges and I have to be in the right mood to drink Orange Juice! {100% not from concentrate}btw...I don't like Grape Soda either because what the hell type of food coloring is that it be like blue or gray fizz or something..All Bad as  Roneesha would say!! I think if you spend enough time around a person you pay attention to certain things you know just in case...this doesn't have to be relationship type but just anyone you care about and spend time with. Like I know my Mom she don't drink no soda but Moon Mist, she eats only Sour Cream and Onion chips but I guess ya'll like you been knowing her all your life. Well MoMo don't eat Subway or McDonald's, doesn't like jerky will usually grab a juice vs. tea and eats chips not Doritos and I've known her like a year and she's been away at school most of that. Get this my new friend Curtis likes energy drinks no...Curtis loves Monsters in the green can, only eats chips if I got some first, doesn't like mustard, prefers fried unless he's cooking it then its baked. What about you? Do you pay attention to the people that you're surrounded by...likes and dislikes!? Its important people shows you care. Go to the store one day and bring a friend or family member back some snacks or something without them telling you what. See how appreciative they are. Eh...or maybe I'm just petty!!

Lady Te wins 106 & Park W.O.W.!!! Detroit Stand Up!!

Well lets just say I met this young lady 2006 I believe it was the "Shoes for Shorty's" event at Eastland Mall...I was just starting to develop my branch in this independent music industry and her she was out doing her promo thing also! She was such an energetic young lady excited and positive about what she had to offer the music industry and her mother supporting her 100%! I knew I wanted to work with her. While working with NeoVintageSoul I was able to get Lady Te on a couple showcases at 1515 Broadway she blazed the stage with G'd Up the audience loved her...I watched her perfect her craft performing at some of our hottest nightclub events also the opening act for a few concerts we had here in Detroit. I was also able to put together an skating event for a local middle school in my neighborhood which Lady Te, Dollah Jones & Jig appeared and performed at. The kids loved this event and many of them ask me for more still today!! They love the pictures and memories that they were able to capture this night though the crowd wasn't as big as we hoped for with it being another new company E.T.H.E.R. Entertainment & team mate I was working with. Still I think all involved had a great time.

Shortly after this I went on hiatus to live the married life (Ugh!) in Indianapolis, In...so imagine my excitement when I turned on Music Choice and seen a Lady Te music video!Lady Te Official Music Video "Hurricane" I must have called everyone as if I was in the video myself...I was so proud not to mention one of my cousins were in the video. {Go Brittany} Well since I have been back to Detroit just a year [n divorced] also now doing my solo {the best way} music management and event planning thing  Prez Artist Management I have had the pleasure of seeing Lady Te all grown up and still doing her thing!! Still performing, promoting and making her mark with her mother right by her side. So for her long journey I say CONGRATS...for her success today on 106 & Park I say JOB WELL DONE...Detroit needed this shining star!!!
